Week 2

HC has not been growing so I put an all-glass versa top over the aquarium and added a second 19w fluorescent light. This brings the aquarium up to 2.5 watts per gallon which should be good enough for the HC to grown. Hairgrass has been quickly spreading and I will need to cut that back to allow room for the HC. Tank is still not done cycling yet........annoying! Hopefully the Neon's don't mind swimming in ammonia.

Week 1

Ok so I have officially started my journey into aquascaping. What I am attempting is an iwagumi style aquarium. I have a limited budget and experience so I will document the project here.
